Child safety policy
Effective from {{EFFECTIVE_DATE}}
Every design decision at Yasmine Center starts with one question: is this safe for a child? This page describes the commitments we make to every family, and only the commitments we can actually keep today.
1. Teacher vetting
Every teacher completes identity verification, provides the qualifications shown on their profile, and teaches a demo lesson observed by Yasmine Center before meeting any child. We publish a certification badge only after seeing the document behind it. Any substantiated safety concern leads to immediate suspension pending investigation.
2. Lesson conduct
Lessons happen on Google Meet. The join link appears in your dashboard and is normally the teacher's own meeting room, so the call itself runs on Google's platform rather than ours. Teachers follow a strict code of conduct: no private contact with students outside the scheduled lesson, no requests for personal information, social media or photos, no contact details exchanged directly with a child, and age-appropriate language and topics at all times.
3. Recording and monitoring
Yasmine Center does not record lessons and does not monitor them live. {{TEACHER_RECORDING_POLICY}} What we do have is a written report after every lesson, a parent who may sit in on any lesson at any time, and a suspension process the moment anything is reported. We would rather tell you exactly what we do than promise oversight we do not have.
4. Data minimization for children
We collect only the child data needed for learning (first name, age, level, progress) and never use it for advertising. Children have no public profiles, no messaging with strangers, and no contact features anywhere in the product.
5. Parental control
Parents create and control all child profiles, see every booking and every report, can sit in on any lesson, and can review or delete their child's data. The camera is always optional and under family control.
6. Reporting concerns
If anything in a lesson ever feels wrong, contact us immediately at {{PRIVACY_CONTACT_EMAIL}}, or through any channel listed on our contact page. Safety reports go straight to the founder, are acknowledged within {{SAFETY_RESPONSE_TIME}}, and — where appropriate — escalated to the relevant authorities. We would always rather investigate ten false alarms than miss one real concern.
7. Messages between families and the school
Parents can message the school and their child's teacher inside the platform. A teacher can only reach families she actually teaches — she can never open a conversation with a family whose child she has never taught. Every conversation is visible in full to the school's administrator, parent-to-teacher threads included, and she can join any thread and reply as the school. That is deliberate: one-to-one contact between an adult and a family that nobody else can see is exactly the arrangement safeguarding guidance warns about. Children do not have their own messaging accounts, and there is no child-to-adult messaging anywhere in this product. We would rather tell you plainly than watch quietly, so the same sentence appears above every message box. Messages are kept for {{MESSAGE_RETENTION_PERIOD}} and then deleted, and a message the school removes stays readable to the administrator so the record survives. Report a concern to {{PRIVACY_CONTACT_EMAIL}} and we will acknowledge it within {{SAFETY_RESPONSE_TIME}}.
